Maxell
Technology
Gallery

"Maxell Technology Gallery (MTG)" is a facility that was born in the Kyoto Businesses to look back on Maxell that was born as a brand-name for dry batteries and Maxell that has grown as a company, and to communicate our "past-present-future." Touch the origins of Analog Core Technologies, which has been inherited as the core of manufacturing, and by uncovering the product history that Maxell has created, please feel the "present" of Maxell and the "future" that we envision.

Room #01 Innovation
Lounge

The Innovation Lounge is a section that introduces the many businesses that Maxell is currently engaged in, and the future that Maxell will realize. In addition to energy Business, Functional Materials Business, Optical and Systems Business, and Life Solution Business, we are exhibiting new technologies that we are creating as new businesses that focus on value. It can be used not only as an exhibition area for products and technologies, but also as a meeting space.

Room #02 Analog Core
Technologies

This is the corner that touches on the starting point of Maxell's Analog Core Technologies. The equipment that was actually used in the manufacturing process at the time of Maxell's foundation is introduced as an example of the technologies underlying the "Mixing & Dispersion", "Fine Coating", and "High Precision Molding & Forming".

  • Mixing & Dispersion

Techniques for uniform mixing regardless of the size, hardness, and viscosity of the liquid.
It includes uniform dispersion and mixing techniques as well as techniques to make them suitable for application.

  • Fine Coating

A technique for coating paints and adhesives of all viscosities in a wide range of uniform thickness.
In addition to various coating techniques, printing and laminating techniques are also included.

    Magnetic tape coater

  • High Precision Molding
    & Forming

Precision die manufacturing technology and molding technology cultivated in cassette halves, discs, and lens manufacturing.
It includes not only injection molding and mold molding, but also technology for incorporating parts into limited space.

Room #03 Product History

To be passed on to Maxell over the years, and to be transformed

The exhibition section introduces Maxell products, which have been popular with the world and have produced numerous innovations, from the 1950s to 2017, prior to its founding. Many of those who knew the time were nostalgic, while younger generations were given valuable historical sources of Maxell, some of which were extracted from Web website.
